Hotel with a great location, reading the previous reviews were very worried, but everything turned out to be much better, just people who wrote badly about the hotel before did not rest in the historical centers, or rested in very expensive hotels, in any modest hotel in London or Paris, but located in the center there are such hotels, if you do not take the world's chains, and if you are chasing the space, that is, many rooms neither in the proud line. There are no bed bugs in the hotel, as the proximity of the river is mosquitoes. Beautiful balcony. It's 200 meters to all the sights. There's also a huge supermarket nearby. Everything is very comfortable and comfortable. It is possible to place your things competently in such a room, as you will obviously stay there no more than 4 days. Separate thanks to the hotel staff and very pleased that they speak Russian and are ready to advise and solve any problem. The room was on the second floor. A cool staircase at first glance frightens, but in this building there is more than one hotel and all such cool staircases. Thank you for a good rest and unforgettable days in Amsterdam.

Position, staff and room
the room was quite dirty under the beds and under the heaters. There were eye contact lens cases, tissues and other things left by other people before us

I liked the location. Not far from the center, the station, museums. No breakfast. But there are a couple of pastry shops nearby, where you can take from croissants to full English breakfast in the morning. Right in the building next to the hotel there is a good Italian restaurant IL Panorama, where you can have a delicious lunch and dinner.
It's not a flaw in a particular hotel. It's the lack of all hotels in downtown Amsterdam in old buildings. The stairs to the hotel are terribly uncomfortable. It's narrow, it's long. Two people will not disperse! Lifting up and letting go of a suitcase is just a bargaining chip. Thank you very much to the hotel staff, they helped with the suitcases. Do not hesitate to ask for help if you do not feel the strength to handle the luggage yourself. We slept three nights. The fridge wasn't working. Went 2 days asking to be repaired, but as a result was able to use the fridge only on the last night.

Location (historic city center) - the main advantage of the hotel! A stone's throw from it is absolutely everything! ))) The room has a TV (how it works - I do not know, not turned on), the bed is clean, soft. The bathroom has toiletries, hair dryer. The room is small, but for two in general more and do not need if you do not go to sit all day at the hotel)). At check-in and check-out there were no problems.
What immediately surprised me was that the photos did not correspond to reality. In general, everything seems to be like this, but much more dilapidated, the impression is that the furniture for many years. Although the plumbing is fine both externally and in use. There was also no refrigerator, which was indicated when booking. The lack of a shower curtain did not add to the comfort either, but it was visible in the photo from the beginning.

Greatly enjoyed our spotlessly clean and compact rooms in this hotel.
The room with a balcony.

Of course the location of the hotel is great. Within 10-15 min you can reach the Central Station (walking). Also all other sight seeing points are really close. The hotel stuff was really nice. Breakfast was a good 2-star-breakfast (two kinds of bread, several sorts of marmelade/Nutella, eggs, cheese, juice, coffee and tea). Although the room was really small it is enough for having a good rest at night. As our room was showing to the main street you could hear the traviffic in the morning. But to us it did not matter as we enyoied our own balcony (which was quite big) ! We booked a room with our own bathroom, which was clean. But I could see the the toilet on the flour was always clean also.
As we did not expect too much from a two star hotel it was really nice. In Amsterdam the rooms are really (really!) small - this seems to be standard. The bathroom in the room had no window and a bad air circulation. So it was mould-infested (bad, bad smell...). The bed was not really comfortable. Good or bad - your need to decide: the very steep stairs to get to the rooms ;)

I had a GOOD experience here, everything was fine, the location was decent short walk to dam square, which is a very good point, restaurants, tourist attractions/sightseeing and a hike. Stayed for 3 days and did not want to leave there, I will come back.

They're many storage spaces in the room. The great balcony offers a nice view on the city. The Buffet Breakfast is excellent (eggs, toasts, marmelade, Nutella, good black coffee,...) and served from 07:30 to 10:30 ! The hotel is well located, in a nice historical house, close to Dam Square. I would return there without hesitating !
It's a bit noisy due to the tram right under the windows but ok to sleep.

Very central location & Friendly staff.
* Room came with a balcony and although it was possible to 'see the canal', it's a little misleading to say it has a 'canal view', as the hotel definitely isn't on the canal. * Room was very cold and the heating rarely seemed to be on. * Throughout the 2 night stay, towels and sheets were not changed. * LCD TV was mounted at the wrong angle, meaning you couldn't watch it unless stood up! * I booked a Deluxe room, but there was absolutely nothing deluxe about the rooms at this Hotel.

Truly wonderful balcony! Surprisingly varied breakfast. Location obviously excellent. Staff helpful and pleasant and informative.
My grandma would not have been able to climb all those steep and narrow stairs... I was also a bit concerned that you had to leave the key card in the reception during the day, so that theoretically anyone could wander on in and claim to be staying in a certain room, since the afternoon receptionist did not check to see if I was actually the person who had checked in there in the morning.
